Think about that one drawer in your kitchen. It has old batteries, some string, and a manual for a toaster you threw away in 2022.
Your browser is the same way. You have bookmarks from three years ago. You have tabs open from a project you finished last month. This is “Digital Junk.”
We save things because we think they have value. “I might need this later,” you tell yourself. But when “later” comes, you can’t find the link because it’s buried under 50 other things.
The mess makes you stop looking. It makes you give up.
You don’t need to delete everything. You just need to be honest.
- The 24-Hour Rule: If you haven’t looked at a tab in 24 hours, you aren’t going to read it today.
- Move it or Lose it: Save the link into a Kortex collection.
- Close the Tab: If it’s in Kortex, it’s safe. You can find it in two seconds using the sidebar.
Stop living in a junk drawer. Start commanding your workspace.
